The Green Transition of the EU’s Internal Market – Recalibrating the underlying Principles of Public Economic Law (Prof. de Vries)

The AgLaw Seminar series continues with a lecture by Sybe de Vries, Full Professor of Public Economic Law at Utrecht University and the College of Europe, titled “The Green Transition of the EU’s Internal Market – Recalibrating the underlying Principles of Public Economic Law.”

The seminar will explore how the European Union Internal Market can respond to the challenges posed by the ecological transition and the ambitions of the European Green Deal. Focusing on the legal principles and constitutional foundations of EU public economic law, the discussion will address whether existing frameworks are sufficiently resilient and future-oriented to support the transition towards more sustainable societies, or whether a broader paradigm shift is needed to place ecological objectives at the centre of European integration.
